Respect[/u]
We ask that all players and guests maintain a basic level of respect for others. This includes, but is not limited to: treating others as you would wish to be treated, not forcing others into uncomfortable situations (Both IC and ICC), remember your manners, and remember that IC events do not necessarily correspond to OOC sentiments. Basically, be mature and reasonable when interacting with others.
Registration[/u]
We request that everyone please register each character under a seperate account using their name in the standard First-Name Last-Name fashion (e.g. Ryo Akiyama). Please keep to one character per account and all IC posts made should be made by that account. If you wish to make posts via an OOC account, please register it seperately and adding OOC to the end. This makes it easier to keep track of which account is which (e.g. darkkenchildOOC).
Applications[/u]
We require all characters to have an application filed in “The Called” sub-forum and to get admin approval before making any IC posts. All applications will be judged on merit, but do not be intimidated by this. We are reasonable folks here and we will judge each application on its merits and will inform you of any improvements that may be required before approval. We do reserve the right to reject applications if they do not match the tone of the setting and after a three-strike process of rejection.
If you wish to apply for a canon character, please post to the claim thread and getting approval from the admin before getting started on your application (to minimize the chance of having half a dozen Davis applications at once). After posting your claim, we request that you complete your application within ten days, after which we will open the character to new claims and applications. If you do not finish within this time frame, you are free to repost your claim within a reasonable period., though after the initial time your claim is not guaranteed. If extenuating circumstances arise and a delay is unavoidable, don't be afraid to PM an admin, as reasonable accommodations might be made.
Note: The Proto-Digidestined are powerful and complicated individuals and require a higher quality of application and posts. Also, they are the driving force behind the main plotlines of the board, and thus will be privy to plot information not available to others. As such, they are available to all, but will be more heavily scrutinized by the admins before approval.
Rating[/u]
Keep in mind that, at this time, the board is restricted to a PG-13 rating. That means no overt sexuality (particularly with underage characters), no unnecessarily graphic violence, and reasonable degrees of language. If any of these situations arise (and cannot be avoided reasonably) please do everyone a favor and fade-to-black before anything outside this rating-level occurs.
Quality[/u]
We request that all posts (especially IC posts) exhibit a certain grasp of the English language. We are not grammar-Nazis here, but we do expect you to have run your posts through a spelling and grammar check before posting. Mistakes happen, but please do your best to proofread before posting.
Character Limits[/u]
At this time, we are restricting players to three characters at a time, including a maximum of one canon character. Additionally, the Proto-Digidestined are particularly powerful and complicated characters, as such they have a restriction of one per player, as well.
Activity[/u]
We expect a certain level of activity from our approved characters. Canon and Proto-Digidestined characters will be expected to make at least one post per week to maintain their approved status. Non-Canons are less heavily scrutinized and are only expected to post once every 2-3 weeks before losing their approved status. Any characters that do not post within these time frames will be moved to the Recycle Bin for a period of two weeks before being moved to The Deleted. If you are planning to be away from the board for an extended period, please post to the appropriate thread in the OOC forum.
Cbox[/u]
Guests and players alike are welcome to use the Cbox to communicate. Questions, comments and criticisms (provided they are constructive) are welcome in the chat. Keep in mind that not everyone will be using the Cbox at a given time, and a response from individuals may not be timely (or even seen, if enough time passes). If you need to contact an admin, a PM might be more efficient and timely that relying on the Cbox. Also, all Cbox communication is presumed to be OOC, so do not assume that something is canon or permissible for use in threads unless specifically stated.
Also, keep in mind that all other rules as stated above are in effect on the Cbox.
